When Metro Track Work Leaves You Feeling BLUE -- Go GREEN

January 30, 2017

Metro's SafeTrack Surge # 13 will run from March 4 through April 9. During this time, Blue and Yellow line trains will run less frequently due to a 24/7 work zone between Braddock Rd and Huntington/Van Dorn St stations.

Looking for an alternative to the Blue line during all this track work? Here are some ART routes that can help:

ART 43 Courthouse – Rosslyn – Crystal City

ART 43 is your convenient Blue line alternative for getting between Crystal City and the Rosslyn-Courthouse area. With bus service every 10 minutes during rush hours and limited stops, ART 43 can get you to your destination fast. The route serves only 4 stops at the Court House Metro, Rosslyn Metro, Crystal City Metro and the Crystal City VRE, making your ride short and quick.

ART 43 service runs every 20 minutes during midday, evenings and weekends. Take the bus to restaurants and the movie theater in Courthouse. Get off at Rosslyn to walk over the Key Bridge into Georgetown or visit Crystal City to check out restaurants and events.

ART 42 Ballston – Pentagon (Pentagon City on weekends)

ART 42 provides service during the week between the Ballston and Pentagon Metro stations with stops at Virginia Square, Clarendon, Courthouse Road and the Department of Human Services. Service is every 18 minutes during rush hours.

On weekends, all ART 42 service goes to the Pentagon City Metro instead of the Pentagon Metro. There you can check out shops, restaurants and special events.
