Service AlertsRider Capacity Restrictions Lifted on ART Buses Starting August 1: Starting Sunday, August 1, rider capacity restrictions will be lifted on all ART buses. Seats inside the buses will no longer be blocked off, and buses will not be limited to a certain number of passengers. If you see an ART bus that has the “Bus Full” sign displayed on the front between now and August 1, please call ART Customer Service at 703-228-7433 and let them know the bus number and route that is full.   • ART 42, 51, 52, 72 & 75 Bus Stop Relocations at Ballston Metro Starting August 1
    Starting on Sunday, August 1, ART and Metrobus service at the Ballston Metro station will be relocated due to construction for Phase 2 of the Ballston Multimodal Improvements Project.
    Bus stops on N Stuart Street and on N Stafford Street will be closed during the project's second phase of construction. Bus service will be routed to the newly opened bus stops on Fairfax Drive and to temporary bus stops on the west side of N Stuart Street.

    The bus stop relocations will impact ART 42, 51, 52, 72 and 75 bus service at the Ballston Metro.
