Weekend Adventures with ART -- Dec. 22-23

Looking for some fun activities this holiday weekend? Let the ART bus be your ride! ART  41, 42, 45, 51, 55, 77 and 87 all provide weekend service. Here are some weekend events taking place and the ART routes that can get you there:

Holiday Shopping -- Skip the parking hassle!

ART can take you to the following shopping spots so you don't have to deal with the stress of driving and parking. Just sit back and enjoy the ride!

Ballston Quarter -- Take ART 41, 42 or 51

Fashion Centre at Pentagon City -- Take ART 42 and 87

Pentagon Row -- Take ART 42 and 87

Village at Shirlington -- Take ART 77 and 87

 

Breakfast with Santa – Dec. 21 at Hilton Garden Inn Shirlington

This holiday season, join Hilton Garden Inn for the 9th Annual Breakfast with Santa! Support their efforts to help Arlington Food Assistance Center (AFAC) fight hunger in Arlington by bringing a donation of non-perishable food items. Your donation will allow you access to enjoy breakfast and photos with Santa on Saturday, December 21 from 8am – noon. Space is limited. Please call 703-820-0440 and select ‘sales’ to make your reservations.

Festival of the Trees – Now – Dec. 24 at the Fashion Centre at Pentagon City

A variety of Christmas trees decorated by local nonprofits will be on display in the Garden Plaza to celebrate the season. Guests can meet with organization reps, drink hot chocolate, create crafts and enjoy live music.

Ice Skating – Ongoing at Pentagon Row

Take your family and friends ice skating at the rink at Pentagon Row! Hit the ice and then enjoy a snack at one of the nearby restaurants. See how to get there car free!

Pike Park Farmers Market – Dec. 22 at Pike Park (intersection of Columbia Pike & Walter Reed Dr)

The farmers market features vendors that sell produce, meats and dairy products. You might find some fun last-minute gifts for the holiday! The market is open from 9 am – 1 pm.
