Stuff the Bus Food Drive September 21 & 22

September 04, 2019

As part of Hunger Action Month in September, Arlington Transit and its operator, National Express, will partner with the Arlington Food Assistance Center (AFAC) and Giant Foods to take action against hunger by challenging the community to “stuff" an ART bus full of non-perishable food items.

Stuff the Bus events will be held on September 21 and 22 at two different Giant Food stores in Arlington, VA. ART buses will be parked in front of the Giant stores to fill full of food donations. Our goal this year is to fill the buses with 10,000 pounds of healthy, non-perishable food! Stop by, say hi and donate!

Stuff-a-Bus Events will be held:
Saturday, September 21 & Sunday, September 22
10 am - 5 pm

Giant Food at Lyon Village -- 3115 Lee Hwy.
Giant Food at Virginia Square -- 3450 Washington Blvd.

All of the food collected will be donated to the AFAC who will distribute it to the more than 2,200 families a week who rely on AFAC for free supplemental groceries.
