Second Stuff-the-Bus Event! Sept. 23 & 24

 

Arlington Transit is partnering with the Arlington Food Assistance Center (AFAC) and Giant Foods to take action against hunger by challenging the community to “stuff" STAR (Specialized Transit for Arlington Residents) buses full of non-perishable food items.

Stuff-the-Bus events will be held on
23 & 24 at two different Giant Food stores in Arlington from 10:00 am to 4:00 pm. STAR vehicles will be parked in front of the Giant stores to fill with food donations. Volunteers will be at the grocery stores to collect donations. The most needed food items are:

  • Canned vegetables
  • Soups
  • Beans
  • Tuna
  • Peanut Butter
  • Cereal

Stuff-a-Bus events will be held from 10:00 am to 4:00 pm on the following days and locations:

September 23 & 24

  • Giant Food at Virginia Square -- 3450 Washington Blvd.

All of the food collected will be donated to AFAC who will distribute it to those who rely on AFAC for free supplemental groceries.
