Service Alerts ART and STAR Holiday Schedule for Thanksgiving and the Day After: On Thursday November 27, 2025, ART 41, 42, 45, 51, 55, and 87 will operate on Sunday schedules and on Saturday Schedules Friday November 28 in observance of the Thanksgiving Holiday. All other ART routes will not operate. The STAR Call Center will also be closed on Thursday, November 27, and all standing orders, except for dialysis, will be canceled. ART 72 Rock Spring - Ballston - Shirlington

ART 72 connects North Arlington, Ballston and Shirlington via George Mason Drive. The new route, along with Metrobus 22A/C, brings more frequent weekday service between Ballston and Shirlington. Service operates every 20 minutes during rush hours and every 30 minutes the rest of the day.
