MICRO is Headed to South Arlington!
Effective October 15, 2026, MICRO, Arlington Transit's Micro Transit Pilot is expanding its service to the South Arlington Community.
MICRO is our new on-demand public transit service and now has two zones! You Simply enter your pickup and dropoff locations, meet your driver at the designated location, and be on your way.
What riders should know
- With this expansion you can use MICRO to connect between your zone and major destinations like East Falls Church Metro, Ballston–MU Metro, Virginia Hospital Center, and Madison Community Center.

All trips must start or end inside one of the designated service zones shown on the map. Travel between zones is not available.
How to Book a Ride
Getting around Arlington has never been easier.
- Download the App: Search for the Arlington Transit MICRO app on the Apple App Store or Google Play Store.
- Set Your Route: Enter your pickup and drop-off locations within either Zone 1 or Zone 2.
- Head to Your Pickup: Meet your professional driver at the designated curb location shown in the app.
