ART 53 – Ballston-Old Glebe-East Falls Church

ART 53 is a convenient way to travel to the East Falls Church and Ballston-MU Metrorail stations. ART 53 operates Monday through Friday, at half-hour intervals during rush hour periods and every hour during other parts of the day.

The route serves the East Falls Church, Williamsburg, Rock Spring, Old Glebe, Stafford-Albemarle-Glebe, Chain Bridge Forest, Rivercrest, Bellevue Forest, Gulf Branch, Donaldson Run, Cherrydale, and Ballston neighborhoods. Look for the green and white ART bus stop signs at more than 100 stops along the route.

ART 53 Schedule Changes Effective July 7, 2014

Due to low ridership, several evening trips on ART 53 will be eliminated. The Westbound 7:30 pm and 8:40 pm trips start at Ballston Metro will be eliminated as well as the Eastbound 7:51 pm and 8:05 pm trips starting at East Falls Church. The eastbound 5:57 am trip starting at N. Glebe Rd and River St will also be eliminated. View the new schedule (PDF).
