ART - Arlington Transit

ART - Arlington Transit operates within Arlington County, Virginia, supplementing Metrobus with smaller, neighborhood-friendly vehicles and providing access to Metrorail and Virginia Railway Express (VRE). Most of ART's state-of-the ART buses operate on clean-burning natural gas; all have climate control to keep you comfortable and dependable schedules to keep you on time.

ART 53 Detour Extended until Friday, May 18

Due to construction, eastbound ART 53 will not use Old Glebe Road between May 14 - May 18 from 9 am - 3:30 pm. No stops or pick-ups will be made on Old Glebe Road going eastbound during those times. Learn more.

Having Problems With Your SmarTrip Card?

If you have experienced problems using your card, contact SmarTrip® Regional Customer Service Center at 888-SMARTRIP (888-762-7874) or smartrip@wmata.com with the ID# located on the back bottom right corner of your card.  When boarding an ART bus, touch the card to the farebox when boarding. If it doesn't work, alert the bus driver, and you'll still get to ride. Learn more.
