The ART Bus canned food drive was a success! A total of 376 items were collected from riders who put their donations in boxes that were aboard the ART buses and at Commuter Stores.

- ART 62 Changes
Route and schedule changes will go into effect for ART 62 on Tuesday, January 3. ART 62 will be rerouted down Kirkwood Rd. and travel through Clarendon. It will no longer travel along Lee Highway to N. Veitch St.

- Keep Donating Canned Goods!
Since the canned food drive on the ART buses and at the Commuter Stores began on November 14, we have received 100 canned and 60 boxed food items! The canned food drive will continue until December 16.

- New Art on the ART Bus
The new Art on the ART Bus exhibit is up and traveling around Arlington. Artist Victor Ekpuk created the bus cards using contemporary and familiar symbols to express the humorous side of our social and personal issues that riders might recognize.

- Canned Food Drive on ART
Arlington Transit will be holding a canned food drive November 14 - December 16. Donations can be made on board all ART buses and at Commuter Stores. All donations will go to the Arlington Food Assistance Center (AFAC) and be distributed to Arlington residents.

Forsythe Transportation, the contractor who operates ART, won the 2011 APTA Gold Bus Safety Award. Due to Forsythe's hard work, safety complaints on ART dropped 58% in one year.
