Arlington Transit appreciates all of the feedback customers provided on a recent survey about possible rerouting options for the ART 53 route. It has been decided to keep the route as is with a peak period extension to Westover.

Elizabeth Graeber's Art on the ART Bus exhibit features drawings and paintings inspired by visits to flea markets, farmers markets and fairs in the DC-area and beyond.

 ART will run a special Inauguration Day schedule on Monday, January 21.

Starting July 1, the transfer fee from an ART bus to a Metrobus will be 10 cents for adults and 5 cents for senior citizens and people with disabilities.

Two new digital signs in the lobby of Courthouse Plaza – one outside of Plaza Library and the other near the elevators – display real time transit information that applies specifically to each sign's location.

Effective Monday, July 2, 2012, minor time changes will be made to the ART 45 and 61 schedules.

Adopt an ART bus stop and help keep Arlington a beautiful and clean place to live, work and visit. Adopters agree to adopt a bus stop for one year and keep it clean. In return, a sign will be posted at the stop recognizing the person(s) who adopted the stop.

Due to a sewer line project, eastbound ART 53 will not use Old Glebe Road from 9 am - 3:30 pm.

Several bus stops in Arlington are getting makeovers.

Six new buses were added to the ART fleet, completing the conversion to an entirely low-floor fleet. The new buses will run on the ART 61 and 62 routes.

Starting April 23, the ART 45, 61A and 61B bus stop in front of the Rosslyn Metro station will be relocated from Bus Bay F to Bus Bay S.

Transit Near Me is a new web application that provides an overview of all the transit options near your location and where they go.

Route and schedule changes will go into effect for ART 62 on Tuesday, January 3. ART 62 will be rerouted down Kirkwood Rd. and travel through Clarendon. It will no longer travel along Lee Highway to N. Veitch St.

Since the canned food drive on the ART buses and at the Commuter Stores began on November 14, we have received 100 canned and 60 boxed food items! The canned food drive will continue until December 16.

The new Art on the ART Bus exhibit is up and traveling around Arlington. Artist Victor Ekpuk created the bus cards using contemporary and familiar symbols to express the humorous side of our social and personal issues that riders might recognize.
