Who We Are
Arlington Transit is comprised of fixed route, paratransit services, microtransit, and constructing transit infrastructure throughout Arlington. ART is Arlington Transit’s local fixed route service that serves Arlington County, Virginia. ART operates 14 bus routes that cover destinations all over Arlington and connects to numerous other transit providers throughout the Washington, DC metropolitan area. STAR (Specialized Transit for Arlington Residents) is the complementary paratransit component of ART. STAR provides a fully accessible shared ride service for persons who have temporary or permanent disability. Micro is Arlington Transit's new pilot program bringing on demand public transit to various parts of Arlington. Each year, millions of riders rely on Arlington Transit. Our job is to provide safe, reliable, and sustainable service today while building Arlington's transit needs and infrastructure of tomorrow.

Arlington Transit moves Arlington and is honored to serve Arlington residents, commuters, businesses, schools and visitors with our services each day. With our fleet of Battery Electric Buses (BEBs) and Compressed Natural Gas (CNG) / Renewal Natural Gas (RNG) buses, we help the environment and the region by reducing traffic congestion and offering a viable safe solution for travel.
