Stuff-a-Bus Event

November 18, 2010

Make someone's winter holiday merrier by donating toys and gifts during the second annual Stuff-a-Bus campaign on November 30, December 1 and 2.

ART buses on routes 41, 42, 45, 51, 52, 53, 74, 75, 77, 84 and 87 will have gift wrapped boxes located near the front of the bus for passengers to donate unwrapped items such as stuffed animals, toys, books and clothes. All gifts collected will be given to the Shirlington Education and Employment Center and Doorways for Women and Families to distribute.

The Shirlington Education and Employment Center provides unemployed residents and day laborers with a venue to meet potential employers. The center also offers vocational, English and job-related courses. Learn more about the center at

Doorways for Women and Families offers safe shelter, support services and housing for victims of domestic violence and families facing homelessness. Visit to learn more.

Help spread holiday cheer to the community! All gifts donated must be new and unwrapped and can be for kids of any age. Any gift, big or small, will be greatly appreciated.
