New Art on the ART Bus Exhibit Features Miniatures

October 23, 2013

The latest Art on the ART bus exhibit is up and making its way around Arlington! The new exhibit, titled "First Dates", features the artwork of artist Bridget Sue Lambert.

Lambert photographs miniature furniture, dollhouses and vintage dolls to simulate the emotional and physical clutter surrounding romantic relationships. Through these constructed vignettes she demonstrates the universality of human reactions and emotions. She has created these images specifically for the Art on the ART Bus in her studio at the Arlington Arts Center on Wilson Boulevard near Virginia Square Metro. She is represented by Civilian Art Projects in Washington, DC.

See below for some pictures from the Art on the ART Bus exhibit and view more pictures on ART's Facebook page.

The Art on the ART Bus exhibit is a joint effort between Arlington Transit and the Artisphere. One ART bus has been designated for the exhibit and will rotate routes so that all riders can enjoy the artwork. Remember to look up next time you board an ART bus. There might be a colorful surprise waiting for you!
