If you’ve been following our weekend series, you know that ART 42 can take you to Pentagon City on the weekends and that ART 45 can take you to Columbia Pike to check out restaurants and the Sunday Farmer’s Market. Today we’ll tell you more about ART’s newest route, the ART 55!

ART 55 travels down Lee Highway between the East Falls Church and Rosslyn Metro stations. On the weekends service runs every 20 minutes during the day Saturday and every 30 minutes on Sunday. Here are some of the places you can visit and things you can do when you ride ART 55 on the weekend:

Lee Highway
There are several shopping centers up and down Lee Highway that offer specialty shops, restaurants, bakeries and grocery stores. Shopping Centers include Lee Harrison, Lee Heights and the Lyon Village Shopping Center. There are also several parks and the Lee and Langston-Brown Community Centers. Learn more about Lee Highway.

ART 55 stops at the Rosslyn Metro station where you can connect to the Orange, Silver and Blue Metro lines. From Rosslyn it’s an easy walk or bike ride to the Iwo Jima Memorial, Arlington National Cemetery or over the Key Bridge into Georgetown. Learn more about Rosslyn.

East Falls Church and Westover
