ART 43, 55, 84 and 92 Schedule Changes Effective August 21, 2016
On Sunday, August 21, 2016, schedule changes will go into effect for ART 43, 55, 84 and 92. Route changes will also be made to ART 43 and 92.
More information about the specific route changes are below. The new schedules and route maps will be posted on arlingtontransit.com by August 1.
In June, a temporary ART 43 schedule was implemented to provide mid-day, evening and weekend service during Metro’s SafeTrack work. On August 21, the schedule will be made permanent.
The ART 43 route through Rosslyn will slightly change. Instead of turning onto N. Nash St. and turning down Ft. Myer Dr., the route will turn onto Wilson Blvd. and pick up passengers at Wilson Blvd & N. Moore St. going Northbound and at Wilson Blvd. & Ft. Myer Dr. going Southbound. Both bus stops will be located on Wilson Blvd.
The ART 55 weekday and weekend schedules will be slightly adjusted to improve on-time performance and connections to Metrobus 3A.
The ART 84 weekday schedule will be slightly adjusted to improve on-time performance.
Service to the Pentagon will be discontinued due to low ridership. The ART 92 route will provide service between the Crystal City Metro and Long Bridge Park only. The route will also stop at S. Crystal Dr. & 18th St. S. by the VRE station in Crystal City.
New ART 54 Route Starts August 22, 2016
A new route, ART 54, will start on Monday, August 22. The route will connect the Dominion Hills neighborhood to the East Falls Church Metro station during weekday morning and evening rush hours.
Weekday service will run from 5:56 am – 9:05 am and 3:25 pm – 7:22 pm. The schedule will be coordinated to allow timed transfers to and from Metrobus routes 1A and 1B.
The ART 54 schedule and route map will be posted on arlingtontransit.com by August 1.
