Web Tools Make Riding ART Easy

January 3, 2011

Riding the ART bus just got easier with several web based tools that take the guess work out of riding the bus. These tools can help answer some of the most frequently asked questions about riding ART.

When's the next bus arriving?

Never wait out in the cold again! Find out when the next ART bus will arrive with ART RealTime. All it takes is 3 easy clicks:

  1. Visit www.commuterpage.com/realtime on your desktop or smartphone
  2. Select the ART bus route you use
  3. Select the ART bus stop you use

ART RealTime will tell you when you can expect the next bus at your bus stop. Use RealTime before you leave the house or office so you can time your arrival with the bus.

Where's the closest ART bus stop?

Find out where to catch the bus. ART Layar uses your phone's camera and GPS to find the ART stop closest to you and directs you there. This is a great tool for new bus riders or those in an unfamiliar neighborhood.

How do I get to my destination?

Create your own custom bus schedule using ART Point-to-Point. This web tool lets you enter a starting and destination point and tells you the best way to get there and which bus to take. You can also specify the time of day and if you'll be traveling during the week or on a weekend. Point-to-Point includes information for several regional bus systems including ART and Metrobus.

Are there any service delays or alerts?

Follow ART on Twitter and get ART Alerts and information sent directly to your phone. You'll always have the most up-to-date information about ART and what to expect.

Is ART on Facebook?

ART sure is! The ART Alerts Facebook page provides service alerts and information while the ART fan page is a place for you to post comments and receive news and fun facts.

You can access all of these tools on your smartphone, making it easy to get the information you need right away. Try them out today!
