New Bus Stop Flags

March 20, 2012

March 20, 2012 -- As you're driving around Arlington, you may notice that some of the ART bus stop flags look a little different these days. Several of the shared ART bus and Metrobus stops are being revamped with new bus stop flags. Instead of the big square flags, the new flags are thin and rectangular. As you can see below, the Metrobus flags are also getting a new look.

The old ART bus stop flag (top) and the new ART bus stop flag (bottom) on the ART 51 route.

The new flags still have the route number, RealTime number and customer service phone number on them. Stops that will be in service during severe weather conditions will also have the snow flake decal in the upper corner.

At this time, only ART bus stops that are shared with Metrobus will have the new bus stop flags. Keep an eye out for them and let us know what you think!

See more pictures of the new bus flags on ART's Facebook page.
