New Artwork on the Art on the ART Bus

May 25, 2011 -- The second Art on the ART Bus exhibit has hit the streets and is making the rounds of Arlington. This time the mobile exhibit features art work from Julie Wolfe, a Texas-born, Washington DC based artist and designer.

Through her work, Wolfe investigates the intersections between beauty and conflict that exist within and across cultures. Her use of original iconography and color leads the viewer from immediate and aesthetically arresting images to an exploration of the various layers of seasons, life and time. For the Art on the ART Bus, Julie focused her work on the flora and fauna of Virginia.

The Art on the ART Bus exhibit will be traveling around Arlington for the next couple of months. One ART bus has been designated for the exhibit and will rotate routes so that all ART riders can enjoy the artwork. The mobile exhibit is a callaboration between ART and the Artisphere.

Remember to look up the next time you get on an ART bus. There might be a colorful surprise waiting for you!
