  • Proposed ART & STAR Fare Increases
    ART adult fare would increase to $2.00; half-fare for seniors, people with disabilities and students would increase to $1.00. STAR fares would increase by $0.50. Fare increases would help offset increased operating expenses. Other fare changes include extending the iRide half-fare program to elementary school students, and allowing personal care attendants to ride ART free when accompanying a MetroAccess rider. Let ART Be Your Weekend Ride!

Our weekend bus service series is coming to a close as we tell you about the last ART route that provides weekend service. ART 77 travels between Shirlington and Courthouse with service running every 30 minutes Monday thru Saturday. ART 77 does not have Sunday service. On Saturdays, service starts at 7 am and runs until 11:54 pm. The route is a great way to get to Shirlington and explore all the shops, restaurants and entertainment it has to offer!

Here are some of the places you can visit and things you can do when you ride ART 77 on Saturday:

Shirlington
The Village at Shirlington has an array of restaurants and shops to choose from. Grab lunch or dinner and then go see a movie or catch a show at the Signature Theater. There are also parks nearby to enjoy, coffee shops and a grocery store. The Shirlington Bus Station serves as a transfer point where you can get on buses going to DC, Alexandria and other parts of Arlington. Learn more about Shirlington.

Columbia Pike
ART 77 stops at Walter Reed Dr. and Columbia Pike, providing an easy way for those in Shirlington and Courthouse to visit the Pike. Along Columbia Pike there are many restaurants and shops to explore as well as a movie theater. Learn more about Columbia Pike.

Courthouse
Courthouse offers a variety of restaurants and a movie theater. Make sure to stop by Courthouse Plaza on Saturday morning to visit the farmers' market and antique market. At the Court House Metro station you can connect to the Orange and Silver Metrorail lines. Learn more about Courthouse.
