Let ART 42 be your weekend ride to shops, restaurants, parks and more!
The ART 42 route runs every 35 minutes on weekends between Ballston and Pentagon City. Along the way, the route travels through Clarendon and along Columbia Pike. During the week, ART 42 goes to the Pentagon Metro. Here are some of the places you can visit and things to do when you ride ART 42 on the weekend:
ART 42 stops at the Ballston Metro station where you can connect to the Orange and Silver Metrorail lines. While in Ballston, enjoy the many restaurants that are in the area, visit Arlington’s Central Library or check out a nearby park. Clarendon offers shopping, restaurants and specialty grocery stores. The Market Common Clarendon includes retail stores and places to dine. At the Clarendon Metro station you can connect to the Orange and Silver Metrorail lines. Learn more about Clarendon.
Along Columbia Pike there are many restaurants and shops to explore as well as a movie theater. On Sundays, visit the farmers market located at Columbia Pike and S. Walter Reed Dr. Learn more about Columbia Pike.
On weekends ART 42 travels to Pentagon City, providing an easy connection to the Fashion Center at Pentagon City and Pentagon Row. While there you can go shopping, dine at restaurants and play at Virginia Highlands Park. During the week, ART 42 goes to the Pentagon Metro. Learn more about Pentagon City.
