iRide at the Teen Summer Expo

April 11, 2011 -- There was a great turnout at the Teen Summer Expo held on Saturday, April 9, where teens met with local businesses hiring for summer jobs and internships. While ART didn't have any jobs to offer, we did provide information about how teens could get to their new jobs -- by riding the bus of course!

ART has a teen program called iRide that encourages teens to use transit to get to school, work and recreational activities. Information about the iRide program was handed out at the expo as well as ART bus schedules and info on how to ride the bus. There were also lots of iRide t-shirts, frisbees and pencils given out.

An ART bus was also at the event that students could board and ask the driver questions about how to ride, SmarTrip cards and which routes to take to get to their school or job.

Overall it was a very successful event!
