Bus Riding Workshop a Success
March 28, 2011 -- On Monday, March 28, a free workshop about riding the bus was held at the Harvey Hall Community Center. The workshop was led by a Metro representative who talked about the basics of riding the bus and the benefits of using a SmarTrip card. Attendees also learned about bus transfers, how to add money to their SmarTrip card on the bus and discount programs for seniors and teens.
A Metrobus then took everyone to a nearby Giant grocery store where workshop attendees learned how to add money and bus passes to their SmarTrip card.

The workshop was a success and everyone's questions about riding Metrobus and ART were answered. If you couldn't attend this workshop, don't worry! We'll be holding another one this Friday, April 1, at the Gates of Ballston. The workshop is free and everyone who attends will receive a free SmarTrip card. Attendees will learn about the benefits of using a SmarTrip card and also tips for riding the bus. Everyone will then have the opportunity to ride an ART bus to a nearby CVS Pharmacy where they can add money and 7-Day Regional bus passes to their SmarTrip card.
