ARTists for PAL Bus Design Reveal -- August 8

August 1, 2013

Please join Arlington Transit on Thursday, August 8 for the revealing of the winner of the ARTists for PAL Bus Design Contest! The ART bus wrapped with the winning design will be revealed. Everyone is welcome to attend! The event will be held on Thursday, August 8, at 10 am at 2100 Clarendon Blvd, Arlington VA, 22201. The event will be outside on the Courthouse Plaza by the flag poles.

The ARTists for PAL Bus Design Contest asked middle and high school students in Arlington to create a design for the outside of an ART bus using the theme of "Share Our Streets -- Be a PAL," Arlington's biking, walking and driving safety initiative. Twenty-six designs were received and a committee narrowed the designs down to 3 finalists. The public was asked to vote for their favorite of the three designs and the design with the most votes was used to wrap one ART bus that will travel throughout the County. Find out which design got the most votes and see it wrapped on an ART bus! All of the designs received will be on display inside of the ART bus for everyone to see.
