ART 43, 55 and 84 Schedule Changes, New ART Route, Effective August 21

Note: Arlington Transit will not be making route and schedule changes to ART 92 on Monday, August 22nd. ART 92 will continue to operate its current schedule which will continue to serve the Pentagon Metro Station. Real-Time bus arrival information will be intermittent. Look for a new timetable in September.

ART BusOn Sunday, August 21, 2016, schedule changes will go into effect for ART 43, 55 and 84. Route changes will also be made to ART 43. Changes will not be made to the ART 92 route. ART 92 will continue to operate the current schedule and still serve the Pentagon Metro.

A new route, ART 54, will start on Monday, August 22. The route will connect the Dominion Hills neighborhood to the East Falls Church Metro station during weekday rush hours.

More information about the specific route changes are below. The new schedules and route maps will be posted on arlingtontransit.com by August 1.

ART 43

In June, a temporary ART 43 schedule was implemented to provide mid-day, evening and weekend service during Metro’s SafeTrack work. On August 21, the schedule will be made permanent.

The ART 43 route through Rosslyn will slightly change. Instead of turning onto N. Nash St. and turning down Ft. Myer Dr., the route will turn onto Wilson Blvd. and pick up passengers at Wilson Blvd & N. Moore St. going Northbound and at Wilson Blvd. & Ft. Myer Dr. going Southbound. Both bus stops will be located on Wilson Blvd. View the new ART 43 schedule and route that will go into effect on August 21, 2016. (PDF)

ART 54
ART 54 is a new route that will connect the Dominion Hills neighborhood to the East Falls Church Metro station during weekday morning and afternoon rush hours. ART 54 will start service on Monday, August 22 and will provide weekday service from 5:56 am – 9:05 am and 3:25 pm – 7:22 pm. The schedule will be coordinated to allow timed transfers to and from Metrobus routes 1A and 1B.  View the new ART 54 schedule and route that will go into effect on August 22, 2016. (PDF)

ART 55
The ART 55 weekday and weekend schedules will be slightly adjusted to improve on-time performance and connections to Metrobus 3A. View the new ART 55 schedule that will go into effect on August 21, 2016. (PDF)

ART 84
