Metrobus is the Washington, D.C. area's regional bus system, operated by the Washington Metropolitan Area Transit Authority (WMATA). Within Arlington, Metrobus is supplemented by ART to provide bus service throughout the County.

Metrobus Route 25ACD operates between Ballston-MU and Pentagon Metro stations, taking a long southern loop that serves Carlin Springs Road, Northern Virginia Community Hospital, Seminary Road, South Fairlington, Shirlington, Parkfairfax, and Avalon Bay. (Also see Metrobus 25B)
